Connecting a Flightscope Device to E6 Connect

Connecting a Flightscope Device to E6 Connect

Connecting your FlightScope device (such as the Mevo+, X3, or Xi) to E6 Connect is a precise process that requires specific alignment and a "one-app-at-a-time" rule to prevent connection conflicts.

Here are the step-by-step instructions for a successful connection:

1. Pre-Connection Preparation
  • One App Rule: Completely close the FS Golf app before opening E6 Connect. Having multiple apps trying to talk to the radar at once will cause it to fail.

  • Charge & Power: Ensure your unit is powered on (hold the button until you hear a double beep).

  • Internet Check: Launch E6 Connect while connected to your home Wi-Fi first to ensure your profile is logged in and your licenses are validated.

2. Establish the Wi-Fi Link
  1. On your iOS device or PC, go to your Wi-Fi Settings.
  2. Select the network named after your unit's serial number (e.g., M2-123456 or X3-010234).

  3. Password: Enter your unit's full serial number as the password (e.g., M2-123456).

  4. Once connected, your device may say "No Internet Connection." This is normal; stay connected to the FlightScope Wi-Fi.

3. Configure E6 Connect
  1. Open E6 Connect.
  2. From the Main Menu, click the Settings (blue cogs) button.

  3. Select Simulator > Tracking System.

  4. Find FlightScope in the list and click Configure.

  5. The app should automatically detect your device. The status dot next to your serial number should turn Green.

  6. Set the Mode: Select your environment (e.g., Short Indoor, Indoor, or Outdoor).

  7. Adjust Distance: Manually enter the Sensor to Tee Distance (typically 8 feet for Mevo+).

4. Calibration & Alignment
  1. In the Configuration menu, click Align Camera. This uses the built-in FlightScope camera to ensure the radar is pointing directly down your target line.
  2. Tilt & Roll: Ensure the unit is set to exactly 12° (using the kickstand or the provided stencil) for simulation play.

  3. Click Accept to save your settings.

Troubleshooting Tips
  • "No Tracking System Found": Ensure "Local Network" access is enabled for E6 Connect in your iPad/iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security.
  • Manual vs. Auto: For older models like the Xi, you may need to select the "Manual" connection option if "Auto-Detect" fails.

  • PC Connectivity: If using a PC, ensure your Windows Firewall is not blocking E6 Connect, as this often prevents the "handshake" with the radar.
