Connection issues with the Mevo+

Unable to get the Mevo + device to connect in the E6 Connect software

  • Make sure the Mevo is updated with the latest firmware
  • Eliminate WiFi interference. “Turn Off” other wifi devices in the home, this is especially true for Apple devices (like iPhones) that might attempt to connect to the Mevo. (We’ve seen Smart TVs interfere with Mevo connectivity)
  • Turn off all other applications. We’ve worked with customers that had to turn of MS Edge, Skype, and Pandora running on their home network). Try turning off all other applications running on the device to see if there is improvement)

  • E6 Connect uses FlightScope SDK for Device connectivity and communication. This SDK was written by Flightscope for these purposes.

  • We’ve recently learned that the Mevo+ (and maybe other FS Devices) are subject to static issues. If so and if you use a Turf or Artificial Grass, or have Forced Air Heading, you can exacerbate the issue.

Flightscope is aware of the issue and are investigating.

For Static Control
We recommend using a spray bottle of 50% Unscented Downy fabric softener and 50% Water.
Every morning before use, lightly spray down all the turf floor.
You can continue to do so each morning until you notice any build…then reduce the number of applications.

Another option might be to add a humidifier to the environment.
Adjust humidity level to reduce static: We suggest 35% to 45% humidity
Moisture in the air prevents static electricity from building up and that’s where humidifiers come in. Maintaining an optimum humidity level can significantly reduce static electricity.
Humidifiers offer additional benefits as well, such as reducing your susceptibility to colds
