Symptom:
Connecting an Ernest Sports launch monitor (such as the ES Tour Plus, ES 20/20, ES14, or ES Eagle) to E6 Connect depends on whether your specific model utilizes a Bluetooth connection or a local Wi-Fi configuration.
Because these devices link via Bluetooth, you must ensure that your PC's native software isn't "hogging" the connection before launching E6.
Close Native Software: If you have the Ernest Sports app or calibration software open on your PC, close it completely. E6 Connect cannot capture the Bluetooth stream if another program is using it.
Turn On Hardware: Power on your Ernest Sports device and ensure it is in pairing mode.
Verify Windows Bluetooth Settings: * Go to Windows Settings > Bluetooth & devices and ensure Bluetooth is toggled ON.
Select Ernest Sports (or your specific model, like ES 20/20) from the dropdown menu.
Click Configure.
Enter your unit's exact Device Name (for example, the default for the 20/20 is ES2020).
Click Accept. The connection box inside E6 should turn Green.
Overhead camera units require an initial local IP handshake utilizing Ernest Sports' bridge configurations.
Establish the Network Bridge: Open the ES Golf utility app on your PC to ensure your overhead camera feed is functioning and calibrated.
Update the IP Address: Inside the ES Golf app, click the E6 Setup button. Note the IP Address and Port Number displayed, then hit Update.
Configure inside E6 Connect:
Close the ES Golf viewer tool.
Choose ES Eagle from the hardware list and click Configure.
Verify that the IP Address and Port fields match exactly what was specified in your ES utility setup.
Click Accept to finalize the local network handshake.
Firewall Blocks: If the indicator light inside E6 stays stubbornly red, your local incoming connection data is likely getting stopped by Windows security. Search your computer for "Allow an app through Windows Firewall" and make sure E6Connect.exe has checkmarks filled for both Private and Public networks.
