Connecting a GolfIn Idra device to E6 Golf 2026
Connecting the GolfIn Idra (and Idra II) overhead launch monitor to E6 Golf 2026 is a process that relies on the GolfIn Launcher to manage the camera data before passing it to the E6 engine.
1. Hardware & Connectivity Requirements
USB 3.0 Connections:
The Idra II requires two separate USB connections.
One USB camera cable must go directly to a USB 3.0 SS port on your PC. The second cable should go into the provided USB Hub, which then connects to your PC's USB-C port.
PC Specs: E6 Golf 2026 is graphically intensive. For the Idra system, TruGolf recommends at least an Intel i7 (10th Gen), 24GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA RTX 3060
or better.
Lighting:
The Idra has a built-in spotlight.
Ensure this is clear of obstructions so it can fully illuminate the 32” x 18” hitting zone.
2. Phase 1: Initialize the GolfIn Launcher
The "GolfIn Launcher" (or Calibration Utility) must be running to "bridge" the AI-powered camera data to E6.
Launch the GolfIn Launcher on your desktop.
Ensure the status shows the cameras are Active and that your One-Time Calibration has been completed (if this is a new setup).
In the software settings, ensure the output or "Bridge" mode is set to E6 Connect / E6 Golf.
Keep this software running in the background while you play.
3. Phase 2: Configure E6 Golf 2026
Launch E6 Golf 2026.
From the Main Lobby, click the E6 Icon (Global Menu) in the top-left corner.
Select the Tracking Systems button.
Scroll through the list of integrated devices and select GolfIn Idra.
Click the Connect button.
Once the status indicator turns Green, your tracking system is linked and ready for play.
4. Calibration Tips for 2026
No Stickers Required:
The Idra uses AI stereoscopic tracking.
You do not
need to use marked balls or club stickers for it to function correctly in E6 Golf 2026.
Handedness:
If you are switching between a left-handed and right-handed golfer, ensure you update the player profile in the E6 lobby.
The Idra will automatically adjust its tracking focus based on the "Handedness" data sent from the game.
Admin Mode: If the connection fails, right-click the E6 Golf 2026 icon and select "Run as Administrator" to ensure it has permission to communicate with the GolfIn background processes.
Troubleshooting
"No Tracking System Found": Ensure the GolfIn Launcher is not currently "locked" by another application (like GSPro). E6 cannot access the cameras if another sim software is already using them.
Missed Shots: Check the GolfIn Launcher's live feed. If the hitting mat appears too dark or too washed out, adjust the exposure settings within the GolfIn utility so the AI can clearly distinguish the ball from the mat.
Firewall: Ensure both E6.exe and GolfInLauncher.exe are allowed through your Windows Firewall for both Private and Public networks.
