Check your Difficulty Settings

Found in the E6 CONNECT Settings Menu:
(SETTINGS > SIMULATOR > TRACKING SYSTEM > TRUGOLF MINI > CONFIGURE)

PARTY
This mode is designed for everyone, enjoy the game of golf with a little help to keep the ball straight.
(Errors in your swing are dampened to straighten the ball, do not use if realism is desired)
TRAINING
With increased sensitivity, Training Mode helps the user learn to shape shots with the Impact Trainer.
(Shots are still modified to improve shot direction, but the effect is lessened and shots are a little more true to your swing.)
TOURNAMENT
For Skilled Players looking to play. Tournament Mode is a true simulation experience.
(No modifications are done to your swing in this mode. You are only as good as your swing)

How to READY the device and Swing it

Look at the videos here: http://www.trugolfuniversity.com/

When you READY the device, you are basically zeroing it out. (like when you line up to hit the ball)
The device will then expect you to strike the ball at that exact same “READY” position.

  • Same “ball” location…where the club is in 3 dimensions
  • Same club rotation. (so make sure you are not adjusting your grip after “READY”

So let’s say you need adjust your grip

  • Adjust the Grip, then raise the Mini vertically, and down again, to “Ready” the new (and correct) position.

Deviation from the “READY” position will have a detrimental effect on your swing data.

General Tips

  • Users should swing the club like they would a real golf club.
  • Users should begin their swing as soon as possible. If they take too long to register a swing, the sensor may timeout.
  • Users must swing the Impact Trainer after the software indicates the sensor is “Ready” – backswings that are too slow or have too significant of a pause may cause the sensor to time out.
  • If the sensor is not responding, click the E6 BUTTON twice to refresh the device.
  • The Club must be held at an angle – if it is too vertical it will attempt to reset.
  • Holding the club vertical will reset the sensor.
  • Once the sensor has calibrated it will announce to the user, via sound, “Ready”
  • Users should take care to limit “waggle” – the sensor will not calibrate until it has been held still and in place for a few seconds. “Waggle” is defined as short quick movements, side to side or up and down.
  • Once the device has been calibrated, “waggle” will either begin its swing or cause the device to re-calibrate. This can lead to the device resetting or improperly registering a swing.
  • Make sure the device is fully charged – having a low battery may cause connection issues.

Put a Target on the Floor

It’s helpful to have a visual target to help READY the device, and to ensure you swing through the same point in space. (that’s very important for good shot registration)

We suggest putting a ball on the ground to help.
It’s easy to look up to your screen, keep your head down and your eyes on the ball.

We hope these suggestions help
