On of our users noticed that his Trackman alignment was off in E6 CONNECT, though still working in TPS
All Alignment and Shot Data is controlled by Trackman--there are no adjustments in E6 CONNECT to modify the shot data.
Original Issue:
When playing E6 connect it thinks I’m hitting off-center and makes the ball go about 3 degrees to the right on every shot.
This is what the customer discovered
I discovered the problem when evaluating straight putts in E6. In my setup I have markers on the floor that I use to calibrate/validate Trackman.
This sets up a straight putt when I putt correctly to the known straight markers.
When I did this in Trackman software the putting is very accurate (putts on line with my floor markers lead to putts on line in the Trackman software).
When I did the same thing in E6 (flat putting area), after calibrating & verifying Trackman was reading correctly in Trackman software, putts would consistently go to the right about 3-4 degrees in E6. The same thing happened on chips, full swings, etc.
It was also easy to see it go off line just by seeing where the ball hits the impact mat relative the center line. In other words, even when the ball would hit the impact screen on center the ball in E6 would go right. This is NOT the case in Trackman software.
I later found that my Trackman unit was physically off-line about 6 inches to the right from the center target line.
Note that Trackman software would work just fine being off-center when calibrated correctly. However, this is NOT the case for E6.
I physically moved the Trackman unit to DIRECTLY behind the center target line. I used a laser pointer to ensure this was correct and that the MIDDLE of the Trackman unit was directly behind the target line. Then everything worked well and Trackman and E6 software read straight putts correctly.
So, it is VERY important in E6 Connect that the CENTER of the Trackman unit is DIRECTLY BEHIND the center target line.
We very much appreciate this customer’s feedback.
