Square Golf PC Connection for E6 CONNECT

Square Golf PC Connection for E6 CONNECT

 Symptoms:

  1. Needing to connect Square Golf device to E6 Connect
  2. Square Golf not connected to E6 Connect

Integrating your Square Golf launch monitor with E6 Connect on a PC is highly straightforward because the Square Golf unit doesn't require complex network configurations or secondary background bridge software to run E6—it pairs directly inside the platform over Bluetooth.

1. Pre-Connection Requirements (PC Bluetooth)

The Square Golf launch monitor transmits data via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

  • Enable Windows Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is toggled ON in your Windows settings (Settings > Bluetooth & devices).

  • Note:
If your desktop PC does not have built-in Bluetooth, you must plug in a standard USB Bluetooth 4.0 (or higher) BLE adapter.
Trugolf recommends plugging the adapter directly into a USB port on the PC's motherboard (back of the tower) rather than a front USB hub for the most stable signal.

2. Put the Launch Monitor in Pairing Mode
  1. Power on your Square Golf device.

  2. Check the indicator light on the hardware. It should be flashing blue, meaning it is actively broadcasting and waiting for a simulator software handshake.

3. Bind the Device in E6 Connect

Unlike other camera-based systems that require an external launcher software running in the background, E6 Connect communicates with the Square Golf unit natively:

  1. Launch E6 Connect on your PC and log in to your simulator profile.

  2. From the main dashboard menu, click on Settings.

  3. Select the Simulator tab.

  4. Open the Tracking System dropdown menu and select Square Golf.

  5. Click Accept (or Configure to verify the signal).

  6. E6 Connect will automatically scan, discover, and pair with the flashing Square Golf device via your PC's Bluetooth. Once successfully paired, the connection status bar will turn Green.

Best Practices for Shot Tracking Accuracy

  • Hogging the Connection:
The Square Golf hardware can only talk to one application at a time.
Ensure the native Square Golf mobile app on your phone or any other third-party golf apps (like GSPro or Awesome Golf) are entirely closed out before launching E6.

  • The Hitting Zone: Ensure the launch monitor is level with your actual hitting mat surface. If the unit is sitting an inch lower on the floor than the mat you are standing on, it can throw off the machine-vision vertical camera calculation inside E6.

  • Firewall Adjustments: If the software ever hangs on the configuration screen, double-check that E6Connect.exe is given full authorization through Windows Defender Firewall for both Private and Public networks.
