Projector troubleshooting

Projector is shutting down during use or you are seeing a lamp light on.

The projector could be overheating.

  • Making sure that there is proper ventilation for the projector at both the intake and exhaust vents.
  • If your projector is being used in a projector box you will want to make sure that both the projector box fans are on and working.

Some projector models have a temp light that will also indicate overheating.

  • If the lamp light is on or flashing this could indicate that the lamp is going out. This can also happen when the lamp is overheating. You can shut the projector down and remove the power cable for five minutes. Then reconnect and power back on. If you are no longer seeing the lamp light on the lamp might be okay. If the problem continues you will need to replace the lamp.

Image is blurry

  • You will want to make sure that the lens cover has been removed.

  • If there is a focus ring on the projector you can move it left to right to adjust the focus.

Make sure that all of your display cables are correctly ran

  • Usually a VGA or DVI cable is for the monitor
  • An HDMI cable is for the projector. Some Trugolf systems use a unidirectional HDMI cable. The side that say source should be plugged into the computer.
  • Both display devices need to be plugged into the graphics card on the computer
  • If the connection to the computer feels loose or the HDMI is not able to fit properly please use this link https://trugolf.zohodesk.com/portal/en/kb/articles/hardware-hdmi-feels-loose-on-the-computer
