How to set Flightscope device to indoor mode in E6 Connect

To set your FlightScope to Indoor Mode (or Short Indoor) within E6 Connect, you must access the hardware configuration settings. This ensures the radar's tracking algorithms are optimized for the limited distance between the ball and the impact screen.

1. Access the Simulator Settings
  1. Launch E6 Connect and log in.

  2. Select Settings from the main menu.

  3. Click on the Simulator tab on the left-hand sidebar.

2. Configure the Tracking System
  1. Ensure your FlightScope (Mevo+, X3, etc.) is powered on and connected to your device via Wi-Fi.

  2. In the "Tracking System" dropdown, ensure FlightScope is selected.

  3. Click the Configure button.

3. Select the Environmental Mode

In the FlightScope configuration window, look for the Mode or Environment dropdown menu:

  • Indoor: Use this if you have more than 12 feet of ball flight (distance from ball to screen).

  • Short Indoor: Use this if you have between 8 and 12 feet of ball flight. This is the most common setting for home simulators.

  • Outdoor: Use this only if you are at a driving range or hitting into an open field.

4. Verify Physical Alignment

While in the Configuration menu, check these two critical settings to ensure the mode works accurately:

  • Tilt: Ensure your physical unit is tilted back at exactly 12°.

  • Tee Height: Enter the thickness of your hitting mat (e.g., 2 inches) if the FlightScope unit is sitting on the floor below the level of the mat.

5. Save and Test
  1. Click OK or Accept to save your settings.

  2. Start a practice session to verify that your shots are registering with the correct yardages.

Note: If you select "Indoor" but your space only allows for 8-10 feet of flight, you may experience "No Reads." Switching to Short Indoor usually fixes this immediately.
