How to Calibrate Apogee

Issue:
Customers may report or request needing Assistance Calibrating

Resolution:
1. Download and install AID (Apogee Intelligent Dashboard) from https://trugolf.com/support/ if you have not already.
2.Double click on the Apogee Shortcut Icon to launch AID

3. From the main Menu Select Calibration

4. Follow the onscreen instructions and put down the alignment grid. Click next when ready.

5. Place the Grid down aligning the grid square to the screen and laser on the x. Once the Alignment has completed (green checks marks) click next.
*
Note: Two different Template types, the older style with Circles with no gray and black squares, and one with Circles and Gray and black Squares.
Alignment will succeed with both types but if you see one with only box and expecting square laser a replacement will need to be sent out or purchased.

6. Offset Auto-configuration. Allow the auto gray scale to complete the offset once completed it will show green check marks, click next.

*Note: If the auto Gray Scale fails to give green checks. Make sure the Squares are not cut off by the edges of the window slightly adjust template and restart the Auto Grayscale as needed.
If you cannot get it to pass contact support and schedule a time with TruGolf Hardware support.
*Note: Customer with on old template without the squares can still calibrate, AID will change the view to place the ball down instead.
Customer may be use to the old style and remove the grid before the auto gray scale feature completes. Please remind them to leave the template down until the onscreen instruction state otherwise.
When using the old style template with circles only,  AID will know and you can remove the grid and place the ball down there is no laser during this segment. The customer will need to move the ball towards the hitting screen and watch the Projection screen to see the ball come into view. Ideally place the ball near center of the that view so you can see the 3 bright spots reflection (from the IR) and adjust using the + -, until the ball indentation (divots) are bright and clear and the bright spots are not oversaturated and larger than the sample image to the left.

7. Center Camera Lighting Adjustment once completed it will show green check marks, click next.

8.  Take a Swing. The End of the wizard will show a shot testing screen where you can place the ball down and make test shots.
  1.  If properly calibrated data will show on the right hand side and always change after shot is taken.
  2. The Ready will show a green check mark when the ball is detected.
  3. Make sure to account left or right handed toggle at the bottom of screen.
  4. If it's consistently registering shots save and complete the process. (*note if its not registering a shot still test in E6 Connect)
  5. Exit out of AID and Test in E6Connect.
