How To Calculate Launch Angle

To determine Launch Angle (for real)
You need to know the Distance to Screen (inches)
You need to know the Height of the ball impact (inches)

Example:

Enter this in Google:
atan(38/138) in degrees

You need to specify “degrees” otherwise you will get the result in radians.

In this Example:

  • “38” is the Height of the Impact point of the ball on screen in inches.
  • “138” is the distance of the ball from screen in inches.
