Missing Ports Com &LPT
Symptoms
- You are not seeing the Port, Com & LPT listed in your device manager.
- Unable to get a serial card driver to install or be seen
1. Launch the “Device manager”
2. Click on “Action” and select “Add Legacy Hardware”
3. Select "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced).
4. Select “(Ports Com & LPT)” then click “Next”
5. Select “Standard port types” as the manufacture and “Communications port” as the model, then click “next”.
6. Click next
7. Click finish
