Error Message: The Procedure Entry Point Set Thread Dpi Awareness Context

If you are seeing this error message “Set Thread Dpi Awareness Context error message when launching E6 Connect”, it means that your windows version is out of date and will need to be updated before you can launch E6 Connect.

Must be on version 1809 or later.
To verify your version type “About” into Cortana search box

Observe the info listed across form the version.

If older proceed to the next step.

This is simple but can be repetitive and tricky. Here is why.
The task is to launch Windows updates by
1. Type or copy and paste “Windows Updates” into Cortana search box

2. Click on '“Check for updates”

You might see a few or no updates. Here is where it gets repetitive and tricky.

  • Run all updates available
  • Restart once complete
  • Run updates again_Even if it states there are non available. You might have to do this 3 times.
  • Run all updates if any are now available otherwise restart the computer again.
  • Repeat this until you get the message stating that a newer version is available.

Almost there :)

  • Now you will have to continue to restart the computer until the update is applied.

Helpful tip If you have a option to restart the computer within the window click on it instead of closing out and restarting form the desktop. This might work the first time.

  • Once complete try launching E6 Connect.
