No Security Dongle found in E6Golf 1.6

A software protection dongle (commonly known as a dongle or key) is an electronic copy protection and content protection device which, when attached to a computer, unlocks software functionality or decodes content. This is required to run early versions of E6Golf 1.6x
(has since moved to digital authorization)

Symptoms:





Message: Security Check Failed. Hardware dongle not found. E6 Golf will now exit




  • Message: Status: Not Connected
  • Message: No dongle detected. Please connect a dongle and try again

What You Need to Check

You can verify that the computer is recognizing the drivers by launching the Product Authorizer
WINDOWS 10 – Click START MENU > TRUGOLF > PRODUCT AUTHORIZER. User Account Control > Click YES
WINDOWS 8 – Locate and launch the PRODUCT AUTHORIZER on the START SCREEN.
WINDOWS 7 – Click START MENU > ALL PROGRAMS > TRUGOLF > PRODUCT AUTHORIZER. User Account Control > Click YES

If this issue still persist try

  • Verify that the USB port is working
  • Reboot your computer and try launching E6 again.
