Handicap Explained in E6Golf 1.6

What is a Golf Handicap?
A golf handicap is a numerical measure of a golfer’s potential ability. In stroke play, it is used to calculate a net score from the number of strokes actually played during a competition, thus allowing players of different proficiency to play against each other on somewhat equal terms.

How do I establish a Golf handicap in E6Golf?

To establish you E6Golf handicap you must first

  • Create a “member” account or player profile.

1. launch E6Golf
2. Select “Play”
3. Select “Create”
4. Fill out the information ( email, username)

  • Play 45 holes of stroke play while logged in as a member ( Standard Stroke play is the only mode of play that will track your stats to apply to your handicap )

Once you complete those steps you will now see a that a handicap has been added to your member and used when you are logged in.
Note- the handicap score is shown during the round and after each hole you will see “ net score” when handicap is used on that hole

How do i know what holes will apply handicap?

  • You will get up to two stokes off on a hole that is rated at or below your handicap. Each hole is rated with a number between 1 and 18.

Example: If your handicap is a 12 you will get one stroke off on every hole rated for 12 or below.

  • E6Golf has made this much simpler for you by adding a red dot on each eligible hole for each player on the scorecard. If their is not a red dot it means that your handicap is below the rating on the hole and your handicap will not be applied.

  • To view the scorecard in round you can click on the “shot” at the top of the screen.
