Connecting your Full Swing KIT launch monitor to E6 Connect

Symptom:

  1. Needing to connect Full Swing KIT device to E6 Connect.
  2. Full Swing KIT connectivity instructions E6 Connect.

Connecting your Full Swing KIT launch monitor to E6 Connect is handled directly through the simulation app over Bluetooth. Because the Full Swing KIT natively targets mobile platforms for its simulation bridge, this integration is built specifically for iOS (iPad or iPhone).

Step 1: Pre-Connection Checklist

Before opening E6 Connect, you must make sure the hardware isn't trapped in an active session with its own native application.

  1. Pair on the Device: Ensure your Full Swing KIT is powered on and paired to your iPad/iPhone via your iOS Bluetooth settings.

  2. Verify Native App State: Open the native Full Swing app to verify your KIT has the latest firmware and displays its Device ID.

  3. The "Exit Session" Rule: Close out or exit any active practice sessions in the Full Swing app, then force-close the Full Swing app entirely. If the native app is trying to read data from the KIT in the background, E6 Connect will be blocked from connecting.

Step 2: Configure E6 Connect
  1. Launch E6 Connect on your iOS device.

  2. Make sure you have redeemed and bound your E6 Connect license key (emailed to you post-purchase) to your TruGolf profile.

  3. From the main main menu dashboard, go to Settings > Simulator.

  4. Tap on the Tracking Systems dropdown and select Full Swing KIT.

  5. Tap Configure.

  6. Under the Available Devices list, you should see your specific launch monitor's serial ID appear.

  7. Tap the blue Connect button next to your unit ID. When iOS prompts you for a Bluetooth Pairing Request, tap Accept.

  8. Once the connection indicator light transitions to Green, tap the green Accept button at the bottom until you are returned to the main menu.

Step 3: Physical Placement & Alignment

Because the KIT relies on radar and tracking cameras, physical setup indoors is exact:

  • Distance Requirements: Place the KIT exactly 10 feet directly behind the ballYou must have a minimum of 8 feet (up to 10 feet max) of open ball flight from the tee to your hitting net or simulator screen.

  • Target Alignment: Use the physical side button on your Full Swing KIT to trigger the hardware Set Target function, moving the unit until the physical display line is aligned perfectly with the center of your screen before starting your E6 game.

  • Putting Note:
The Full Swing KIT is optimized for short-range ball tracking data and does not natively support physical putting tracking.
Ensure your E6 Connect match configuration settings have Auto-Putt enabled.

Troubleshooting a Dropped Connection
  • Unit ID Not Showing: If your device ID doesn't show up when you tap Configure, toggle your iOS Bluetooth off and back on again, and double-check your iOS App Permissions (Settings > Privacy & Security > Bluetooth) to guarantee E6 Connect has authorization to scan for local devices.

  • No Reads During Play: Double-check that there are no high-velocity moving metallic parts (like heavy room fans) running directly in the path between the radar and your hitting screen, as this can confuse the radar sensors.
